Using StaySafe

What fires does the StaySafe All-in-1 put out?
Ten fire types: electrical to 1000V, cooking oil, lithium-ion, petrol and diesel, textiles, paper and wood, bio-ethanol, and general combustibles. Most extinguishers handle one or two classes — this handles the ten you actually face at home.
How do I use it?
Aim at the base of the flames from arm's length and spray. There is no pin to pull, no gauge to read and no weight to manage. It smothers the fire and cools the fuel so it cannot reignite.
How long does it spray for?
Between 10 and 12 seconds of continuous discharge from a 298g can.
Can it be used on lithium battery fires?
Yes. Lithium-ion fires are a heat problem rather than a flame problem — the cell generates its own oxygen and keeps reigniting. The fluid strips heat from the cell fast enough to break that cycle, which is why it has been independently tested on battery fires.

The product

What is the shelf life? Does it have an expiry date?
Five years from the date of manufacture, printed on the base of the can. There is no annual service and no gauge to check.
What are the storage temperatures?
Store between −20°C and +60°C. That covers a kitchen drawer, a car door pocket and a caravan locker through a British winter.
What is inside the bottle?
A patented water-based fluid. It is non-toxic, fluorine-free and PFAS-free, and leaves minimal residue — you wipe the surface down rather than replacing it. The full ingredient declaration is available to trade customers on request.
Should I use the whole can on a fire?
Use what you need to put the fire out, then treat the can as spent and replace it. Once a fire is out, ventilate the room and call 999 if there is any doubt the fire is fully extinguished.
What testing has it undergone?
We asked BSI to independently test the All-in-1 rather than self-certify. It carries fire ratings across the ten types listed above. Trade and institutional customers can request the full certification pack.
